I  opened The Cherry Hat to honor all women who create and all who have passed along their skills to another.

I opened the shop to honor the past…when women gathered to share life’s stories, needles in hand, creating beautiful quilts or the necessities of everyday life.

I opened the shop to honor the home.   A quote from Maya Angelou: “I like beautiful things around me… because it delights my eyes and my soul is lifted up.”  Our homes are our sanctuaries and should  soothe, comfort and delight us.
